For hundreds of years bath salts have been used by many different cultures. These salts have different beneficial properties and are used in household cleaning, gardening and detoxifying the body. These salts are very inexpensive and can be purchased in garden centers nearly everywhere. Using Epsom salt baths is an advanced detoxification strategy that has remarkable health benefits.

HOW BATH SALTS WORK:

Magnesium is very important for improving nerve and muscle function. It plays a vital role in over 320 enzymes. It reduces inflammation and improves blood flow and oxygenation throughout the body.  Using epsom salts can help replenish you body’s sulfates and magnesium levels. As we know, sulfates are very important building blocks for healthy joints, skin and nervous tissue.  Therefore, this combination is very effective at  flushing out toxins from your body.

The use of regular Epsom salt baths has been shown to improve the symptoms of many health conditions including athlete’s foot, gout, toenail fungus, sprains, bruises and muscle soreness. It is also good for anyone dealing with chronic disease or chronic pain.

HOW TO TAKE  SALT BATHS TO DETOX YOUR BODY:

Fill up your bath with warm water. Add these amounts of Epsom salts

Kids under 60 lbs: Add 1/2 cup of salts to a standard size bath
Adults between 60-100 lbs: Add 1 cup of salts
Adults between 100-150 lbs: Add 1 1/2 cup of salts
Adults between 150-200 lbs: Add 2 cups of salts

ADD THE FOLLOWING TO A WARM BATH:

½ cup spirulina, mixed in a pitcher of warm water.

½ cup sea salt

7 drops essential oil (I like to use a mixture of lime, bergamot and grapefruit).

Avoid using soap with an Epsom salt bath because it can  disrupt the action of the minerals and the detoxification process. Rest for an hour or two afterwards.

WHY ADD SPIRULINA

Spirulina  is an excellent food that helps remove metals; it helps the body to rebuild nerve tissues. Spirulina can boost your red blood cells and their capacity to transport oxygen. More oxygen means a more efficient body to detox! Add it to your bath or take it orally. I personally take about 10 gr per day that I add to my food.  So I  mix powder in smoothies or pretty much anything else. Then it’s really easy to take 10 gr per day  and I stay on peak, clean and healthy.
