Coconut oil possesses powerful antibacterial, antimicrobial, and antifungal properties. In fact,  just one spoonful of coconut oil can prevent cavities and tooth decay more effectively than any store bought toothpaste.

Did you know that over  90 percent of the toothpaste sold in the United States contains fluoride. Using fluoride toothpaste has been linked to many health problems especially in children because fluoride is a toxic industrial waste. Even small amounts of fluoride can be very poisonous and cause acute fluoride toxicity.

That’s why the FDA mandates a poison warning on all  fluoride toothpaste sold in America.

COCONUT OIL IS MORE EFFECTIVE THAT TOXIC FLUORIDE

The research from the Athlone Institute of Technology, found that coconut oil successfully inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria Streptococcus mutans — an acid-producing bacterium that is a major cause of tooth decay.  Coconut oil attacks harmful bacteria in your mouth  The fatty acids in coconut oil destroy  Lactobacillus and Streptococcus bacteria that cause cavities.

Additionally, coconut oil prevents gingivitis and does not cause irritations in the mouth.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO PREVENT CAVITIES NATURALLY USING COCONUT OIL

You can take a spoon of  coconut oil (find it here) and swish it around in your mouth for 15 minutes. Spit it out, rinse well with water and brush your teeth after.
