We have two sons and one daughter, and they all have their own families now. Both of my sons live with their wives in their own homes. Recently, my older son became a father, and my husband and I were overjoyed.

We visited them on the day they were discharged from the hospital, bringing gifts and even some money. However, my daughter-in-law and her mother didn’t seem pleased to see us. By the way, they were living at my daughter-in-law’s parents’ house. We spent about an hour there, but they didn’t even offer us coffee.

The bride-to-be didn’t even accept the soft toy I had brought as a gift. But who returns a gift? If my daughter-in-law had been like this from the beginning, I wouldn’t have been surprised. We used to communicate, call each other, and had very good relations. After the baby was born, she completely changed her attitude towards us.

My son can’t say anything because he lives in their home. My husband and I returned home feeling upset. Later, I called my daughter-in-law several times and tried to persuade her to visit us, but she refused. Recently, I learned from my son that she’s not breastfeeding the baby. I feel sorry for my grandson because of this.

But I can’t say anything to her. My relatives and friends ask me about my grandson, and I don’t know what to say. I’m embarrassed to admit that I’ve only seen my grandson once. I suggested to my son to at least meet the baby for a walk, but he replied that the baby is still very young, and when he grows a bit, we can go for a walk together

My mother’s apartment was passed down to me. Initially, I thought about selling it and dividing the proceeds equally among my children. Then my husband said there was no need for that.
He decided to renovate it and rent it out. My husband believes that with such sons, we have no future. We should think about our old age ourselves. I agree with my husband.
