Otters have a distinct appearance typical of animals that spend a lot of time in the water, making them special, adorable, and lively creatures. They are also intelligent beings that can be trained to perform various tricks. Due to their friendliness and calm demeanor, otters are often kept as pets. A domesticated otter is incredibly cute, affectionate, and submissive. It quickly adapts to its owner and enjoys playing with them. Otters are easy to train and quickly become everyone’s favorite.
Families with pets are not uncommon in Japan, although it’s less common in the United States. People try to adapt to urban life by bringing animals into apartments because they desire an interesting pet at home. Otters are charming creatures that appear just as adorable in real life. Kataro and Hana, two adorable otters, reside in one of these families.
The otters can easily navigate the two-story home of their owners, accustomed to them and rarely seeking refuge in isolated areas. One day, three young children from the hosts’ friends visited. It’s impossible to describe how the animals and children reacted.
The kids had never seen otters before, and it was the first time Hana and Kataro encountered strangers in their home. Initially hiding on the second floor, the animals soon played fearlessly with the curious, younger children, particularly bonding with the enthusiastic two-year-old toddler.
Otters are believed to be extremely intelligent and clever animals; they can be quickly and easily domesticated, identify and wait for their owners, and even respond to nicknames.
