Being a mama is no mean feat. And we aren’t even talking about pregnancy or giving birth. That tiny squishy thing may look cute as a button, but soon enough we realize that they poop, fart, burp, and spit up just like us. Correction: 10 times more than an average human. Yes, you read that right. And who is on the receiving end of all of this? Mothers of course. Here, we list down 10 gross things that all moms end up doing in their lives which if you are not a mom may find deeply disgusting.

10. Sniffed A Dirty Diaper

Sniffing diapers is second nature to most moms. There is one only way to decide if the baby needs a nappy change, and that’s by sniffing their bum. And don’t even get us started on when the baby is sick. We might even do a little investigation of our own by checking the color, consistency, and texture of the poop.

9. Cleaned Poop

Who knew they would poop this much! Though we may be able to dump this responsibility on our partner for a while, because, hello, we just pushed a tiny human out of our vajayjay, you can’t relinquish yourself from this responsibility for long. All moms have to take on their share of diaper duties. And let us give you a heads up, it’s not a pretty scene at all. You have to clean their poop smeared bum and no matter how careful you are, they manage to touch your skin one way or another.

8. Used Our Saliva To Wipe Something Off The Baby’s Face

Okay, this may not be something all moms are guilty of doing. But there are times when you are out in public, and see that your baby has something stuck to his/her face. It could be a dried up formula or a piece of food from earlier. And after baby wipes, mom spit works best in such scenarios. So you gotta do what you gotta do. No judgment there!

7. Wiped Snot Using Your Hands

Okay, this definitely has to be the most disgusting thing mothers had to do. Kids, especially babies, drool a lot when they are sick. And when you don’t have a tissue handy it’s your bare hands to the rescue.

6. Cleaned Up The Vomit

Whether they have vomited on the floor, sheets, on themselves, or us, we have cleaned it all at 12 in the afternoon or 3 at night. Do we enjoy it? NO. Would we be up for it the next time it happens? Yes.

5. Caught Chewed Food They Spat Out

It hurts when your kid rejects your food. You don’t want to clean up the entire table, so you now catch the food that they have chewed and spit out using your bare hands.

4. Applying Cream On Unpleasant Areas

Kids go through their share of skin infections, some in the form of nasty rashes. They look unpleasant but as their mom, it’s your job to apply the lotion or cream in those areas. And sometimes you are so worried about your little one’s well being that you don’t even realize how icky it looks.

3. Collected A Poop Sample

When your child is really sick, your doctor might ask you to get his/her poop sample in a test tube bottle. Let’s not get into the details of how it’s done. But you get the idea.

2. Held Your Child’s Vomit In Your Hands

Your Health Matters

Well, catching the vomit in your hands is a smarter option than letting it splatter across the floor, wall, or your clothes. This way, you will be saving yourself from a ton of mess that you will be cleaning up later.
