CHRISTINA Aguilera looks unrecognisable in a stunning new cover shoot for Paper Magazine.
The 37-year-old singer ditches the makeup for a stripped back, bare-faced close up picture, with her freckles clearly visible as she touches a finger to her lips.

With her blonde hair dipping into her eyes, Christina strikes a sultry pose, and clearly delighted with the image, she shared it on her Instagram page for her followers to see.
She captioned it: “hi mom @papermagazine #Transformation #xtinaPAPER” referencing the gold ring on her middle finger.
Her fans were blown away by the shot, with one asking: “Is that you?” while another wrote: “So beautiful!!!”
A third agreed, writing: “The most raw beauty I have ever seen.”

In the accompanying interview, Christina discussed her toned-down look.
She said: “I’ve always been someone that obviously loves to experiment, loves theatrics, loves to create a storyline and play a character in a video or through stage.
“I’m a performer, that’s who I am by nature.
“But I’m at the place, even musically, where it’s a liberating feeling to be able to strip it all back and appreciate who you are and your raw beauty.”

However the mother-of-two insists she hasn’t ditched her heavily made up looks for good, adding: “I mean, I’m a girl that likes a beat face, let’s not get it twisted.”
Christina posed for a number of other pictures in the shoot for photographer Zoe Grossman with minimal makeup, before the cosmetics were replied for other dramatic shots.
In one, Christina wear black shiny lipstick and retro sunglasses with her blonde hair slicked back, while another sees her wearing ruby red lipstick and matching eye makeup, which starts to smear across her face as water cascades down from above her head.
