How to descale toilets effortlessly? It happens that we move into a house that has been occupied by negligent people to the point of having left the bottom of the toilet bowl dirty and especially stained with tartar. In terms of hygiene and aesthetics, we cannot leave them in this state.

And you know what, you won’t need to struggle too much once you’ve discovered our tips of the day.

The relentless efforts, the asphyxiation of industrial products, all this would only be a bad memory.

Follow us in these few lines and you will only be satisfied.

1 – DESCALE THE WC WITH Coke

No, no, you’re not dreaming. Coca-Cola has little-known but very effective descaling properties. Its effervescent action dissolves limescale and restores shine. It is therefore perfectly suited to rid your toilet of scale. To use it:

Pour a glass of Coke onto the sides of the bowl.
Leave on for 1 hour and rinse. That’s all !

2 – BORAX OR SODIUM TETRABORATE

You can find it in pharmacies, it is an excellent cleaning product which is used to whiten and disinfect. On contact, dirt disappears like magic, without even needing to rub! You can also combine it with lemon juice to make a paste to apply to the area to be cleaned. Otherwise, for effective descaling you also have the option of combining it with white vinegar and hot water. Keep on hand 1 cup of white vinegar (250 ml) and 4 tablespoons of borax powder (40 g) then 1 liter of hot water. Spray the stained surface with white vinegar and leave for 20 minutes. After scrubbing with a brush, add borax powder and wait another 15 minutes. After this time, pour the liter of hot water to eliminate all the product.

3 – BAKING SODA

Pour baking soda into the bottom of your toilet and let it sit for a few hours before scrubbing with a toilet brush. Flush the toilet to see the result.

4 – WHITE VINEGAR

White vinegar is a versatile natural product, widely used in cooking and for various daily household tasks.

Renowned for its disinfectant capabilities, it can also be used as a cleaner: to resurface old tiles, to clean a washing machine, or in our case, to prevent odors from rising and eliminate scale.

It couldn’t be easier:

Flush the toilet once.
Place absorbent paper on the sides of the bowl.
Distribute one to two cups of white vinegar evenly over the paper.
Leave for 4 to 6 hours.
Remove the soaked paper.
Flush the toilet again while scrubbing with the toilet brush.
