Britney Spears sparks outrage with fat-shaming post about Christina Aguilera’s dancers – as rival unfollows her
BRITNEY Spears has been slammed after sharing a scathing post fat-shaming her long-term rival, Christina Aguilera.
The US star published a quote on her Instagram page which said, “I found there was only one way to look thin: hang out with fat people,” before adding a jibe towards the Lady Marmalade singer.

In the caption to her 42million followers, Britney Spears wrote: “If I had Christina Aguilera’s dancers I would have looked extremely small.
“I mean why not talk about it?? Don’t you think my confidence would have been a bit better if I could choose where I lived, ate, whom I called on the phone, dated and who was on stage with me?”
Fans were quick to express their disappointment at the remarks and suggested Britney should find confidence in things outside of her size.

Many encouraged her to delete the post, while one said: “This is so wrong. There is so much more to life than looking thin.”
Another said: “Oof. Love Brit – but this was in bad taste. Body shaming to make yourself feel better is not where it’s at.”
Someone else told her: “Girl nah delete this & go find a source of self love without dragging down other women’s bodies. It’s gross to post something like this.”
Britney is also believed to have fallen out with fellow pop superstar Selena Gomez – just three months after the latter was one of a handful of celebrities to attend her wedding.

Selena had joined Madonna, Drew Barrymore, Donatella Versace and Paris Hilton when Britney wed her actor husband Sam Asghari in June.
However they have now unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Britney appeared to reference the fall-out by sharing a video earlier this week of herself dancing to the song Honest by Justin Bieber, who is Selena’s ex-boyfriend.
The Toxic singer wrote alongside the post: “Feeling myself with Justin Bieber… Offended? Don’t watch me!!!”
