The surgery went well, and the Princess of Wales will stay in the hospital for another 10 to 14 days.
There was a statement from Kensington Palace that said, ““Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter,”
They said in a long statement that the Princess of Wales will stay at a private hospital in London for ten to fourteen days. She also says she “unlikely” will return to work until after Easter.
Kate Middleton is in the hospital
While this was going on, Kate said she was sorry for delaying planned events.
“Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to The London Clinic yesterday for planned abdominal surgery. The surgery was successful and it is expected she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery. Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter,” the statement from Kensington Palace on its social media pages.
“The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible; and her wish that her personal medical information remains private.”
The statement continued: “Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when there is significant new information to share. The Princess of Wales wishes to apologise to all those concerned for the fact she has to postpone her upcoming engagements. She looks forward to reinstating as many as possible, as soon as possible.”
A lot of royal fans were worried about Kate and wished her a speedy recovery on social media.
“Prayers for a speedy recovery”
“Feel better soon, Catherine. Even while she’s not well, she’s worried about everything going on around her. You take care of you and I’m sure people understand the need to respect your privacy for your children. They would want the same for their own,” one wrote.
Another added: “Prayers for a successful recovery for the Princess of Wales and for her lovely family as they navigate this difficult time.”
A third said: “My thoughts and prayers are with her and her whole family.”
“14 days is a long stay, hope she’s ok,” another stated.
People Magazine sources say that Kate’s planned surgery on her abdomen was “non-cancerous.”
According to the news source, the Princess of Wales will likely recover at her family home in Windsor after being released from the hospital. She and Prince William moved there from Adelaide Cottage in London in 2022.
While Kate is getting better, Prince William is also likely to do fewer public appearances. This will help them better take care of their three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
William will not be taking care of business while Kate is at the hospital.
William will be more responsible for taking care of George, Charlotte, and Louis, but he won’t do it all by himself.
William and a nanny will take care of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
A child care worker named Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo will help the prince and princess, as she has done for many years.
Since 2014, Borrallo has been with William and Kate. Since George was only eight months old, she has been taking care of him.
“She is not married and doesn’t have a boyfriend, as her life is totally dedicated to the family she is working with. She is known for being totally professional – married to the job,” an insider told Hello Magazine.
Borrallo went to the well-known Norland College in Bath to learn his craft. In line with what William and Kate have said they want, she makes all the decisions at home about the kids.
A royal insider previously said: “Maria is firm, but she never acts unilaterally with the children on discipline. Kate and William, along with Maria, are strict with the children but have this magic ability to appear not to be.”
Kate’s true feelings about hospitals
When asked what she thought about living in hospitals, Kate said they were not “places she wanted to hang around in.”
She talked about the bad memories of having terrible morning sickness after giving birth to George.
“I think, yeah I did stay in hospital overnight, I remember it was one of the hottest days and night with huge thunderstorms so I didn’t get a huge amount of sleep, but George did which was really great,” the princess said.
“I was keen to get home because, for me, being in hospital, I had all the memories of being in hospital because of being sick so it wasn’t a place I wanted to hang around in. So, I was really desperate to get home and get back to normality,” she added.
