Julia Roberts revealed in an interview that she feels she has too much life experience to convincingly star in a romantic comedy. She stated that unless she were to play the parents of the characters in a rom-com, she doesn’t see herself taking on that genre again. Roberts explained that the disconnect comes when the audience doesn’t believe that the actors in the film are naive and emotionally juvenile, as is typically portrayed in romantic comedies. Instead, Roberts is currently starring in the upcoming drama thriller series “Homecoming.” The series premieres on November 2 on Amazon Prime Video.
