Beloved NFL star Vontae Davis has passed away. He was just 35 years old.
Now, new 911 calls obtained by the Miami Herald revealed where and how Davis was discovered. According to the phone call made by Davis’s personal assistant the former football player was found “on the ground unresponsive in the gym area” of his home.
According to WSVN, Davis’s remains were discovered in a Florida home by his grandmother. The discovery was made on April 1 in Southwest Ranch.
It’s reported that Davis’s grandmother, Adeline owned the home where he was found.
Davis was a well-known cornerback in the NFL. He began his career in 2009 when he was drafted by the Dolphins in the first round. He went on to play for the Colts and the Bills during his 10 years in the NFL.
He retired in the middle of a game in 2018.
During his retirement, Davis taped into his creative side, writing a children’s book called The Middle School Rules of Vontae Davis. Just seven days ago, Davis promoted his book on Instagram.
“Excited to share my journey from DC to where I am today through my signed children’s book,” Davis wrote. “Packed with invaluable life lessons and gratitude for my support system.”
And earlier in March, Davis talked about being born into diversity, being adopted by his grandparents, and how all those hardships led to his success.
This is a developing report.
