The news shocked the modeling world when the 23-year-old Miss Universe from Australia passed away suddenly and unexpectedly. The model from Syndey, Australia, was Sienna Weir, 23, who died on Thursday. Several weeks ago, she suffered a horseback riding accident that put her on life support. Now, devastated family and friends mourn the loss of the 23-year-old beauty queen, calling her an “angel” after she was taken off life support following the horseback riding accident that went oh so wrong.
Weir had been on life support for several weeks and was not making any notable progress in her recovery. That’s why those close to the beauty queen decided to take her off life support and allow her to rest in peace.
Weir had her horseback riding accident while riding the Windsor Polo Grounds back on April 2, 2023. Her horse fell and caused Weir to suffer severe injuries as a result that put her on life support functions. After the horseback riding crash put her into critical condition, Weir was rushed to the Westmead Hospital, where she was given the best care in the area. Nevertheless, the beauty queen could not be saved, and her family and those close to her decision to take her off life support about a month after the horseback riding accident occurred.
Now, people are flooding their social media feeds with tributes to the Miss Universe from Australia. Her heartbroken boyfriend, Tom Bull, said, “We loved with a love that was more than love.”
Weir’s final Instagram post was a mirror selfie that she published back in April. Many fans and family members left their tributes to the fallen beauty queen in the comments of her final Instagram post.
One friend wrote, “Heaven has gained the most beautiful angel today. I’ll miss everything about you, Siena; I love you.” That same friend added that Sienna used to “light up every room” with her beautiful smile and presence.
The friend added, “I’m so lucky to have known you. Thank you for everything.”
In the wake of her death, Weir’s agency, Scoop Management, shared images of the former beauty queen along with a message that said, “Forever in our hearts.”
The model was also photographed by Chris Dwyer, who posted an image of Weir that he also accompanied with a tribute to the fallen Miss Universe finalist.
“You were one of the kindest souls in the world, you lit up the room, and the world is a lot darker now that you are gone. I hope wherever you are, you’re the gremlin we all know and love. Miss you so much already.”
Sienna Weir was among twenty-seven finalists for Australian Miss Universe back in 2022. Last September, she earned her way to an interview with Gold Coast Magazine and was eager to talk about her modeling success.
She was a college graduate who graduated with a double major in both English literature and psychology from Syndey University.
