The beauty of the coat reflects the good health and well-being of our dogs. When all is well, there is no need to wash them too often: once a month is enough.

On the other hand, when our walking companion comes back dirty or smelly, it is useful to have on hand a good homemade shampoo, natural and which leaves a light smell. If the area to be cleaned is small, simply use a glove or a crocheted wipe with a little Marseille soap, then rinse thoroughly before towel drying.

TO KNOW
If it is cold, it is important to dry the coat well, but taking care to set the dryer to the “cold” position. It is also possible to create a warm room by increasing the heating of the bathroom and staying with our dog until his coat is dry… This also allows him to brush.

15 ml (1 tbsp.) hydrosol, of your choice
5 ml (1 tsp) aloe vera gel (optional)
Method

In a ramekin, mix the different ingredients. You can use a cotton crochet mitt or wipe to gently clean a dirtier area. Optional: Added to our recipe, aloe vera softens our basic shampoo, which is great for dogs with dry, sensitive skin.

Tip: You have to prepare the exact amount of product for a bath. Thus, there will be no storage problem.

WHY A NEUTRAL PH?
The dog’s skin has a pH of 7, and the fact of using a neutral pH base (pH = 7) makes it possible to act without attacking it. A glycerine base keeps the skin well hydrated.
