INGREDIENTS :
380 g (3 cups) all-purpose flour;
20 g (3 tablespoons) cornstarch;
40 g (3 tablespoons) of butter;
50 g (⅝ cup) sugar;
1 egg;
7 g (1 teaspoon) of salt;
7 g (1 ½ tsp) dry yeast;
150 ml (⅔ cup) hot milk;
40 ml (3 tablespoons) vegetable oil;
Melted butter, sesame seeds.

METHOD :

  1. Whisk flour with cornstarch, salt and baking powder.
    Add the melted butter. milk, oil, egg and sugar into the flour mixture. Knead until you get a smooth dough.
  2. Reserve the dough for 1 hour.
  3. Cut the dough into pieces and roll them into balls. Flatten each ball into a disc and cover half with melted butter and sesame seeds.
  4. Roll out the discs of dough, overlapping them and leave to rise for 1 hour.
  5. Brush with egg yolk and bake at 180°C/350°F for 25 minutes.
