It was reported that reality TV star Abby Hensel had tied the knot with her long-term partner, Josh Bowling.

Abby – along with her sister Brittney – shot to fame in the mid-nineties when they appeared on an episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show to talk about their unique lives.

The sisters are dicephalus conjoined twins who were born fused at the torso.

With two sets of lungs, two hearts, two stomachs, one liver, one large intestine, and one reproductive system, they quickly learned from a young age to coordinate their body – with Abby controlling the right side, while Brittany controls the left.

When the sisters were born in 1990, their parents – Patty and Mike Hensel – were given a choice to surgically separate them. However, due to the unique nature of their shared body, the parents opted against any procedure – deeming it far too risky after doctors expressed little hope that either sister would survive an operation.

As documented in their 2012 TLC reality series Abby & Brittany, the sisters went to school, made friends, learned how to drive, and went on to become elementary school teachers. They currently reside in Minnesota and work as fifth-grade teachers.

Images on their Facebook page show 34-year-old Abby and Brittney wearing a beautiful white wedding gown, while Josh kept it classic in a handsome grey suit.

Despite the news only recently hitting headlines, the New York Post reports that Josh and Abby actually married back in November 2021 – meaning they’ll already be celebrating their third wedding anniversary later this year.

His X bio reads: “Christian, Father, Husband, Veteran, and occasional gamer. From Army medic, to Nurse. I love what I do. Trying to be a positive presence on here!”

Prior to their wedding, the sisters has spoken out about the possibility of one day becoming mothers.

In the same doc, their mother explains: “That is probably something that could work because those organs do work for them.”

In another interview, cited by the Daily Mail, Brittany reiterated their dreams to have families of their own, telling viewers: “The whole world doesn’t need to know who we are seeing, what we are doing and when we are going to do it. But believe me, we are totally different people.”

Abby agreed, adding: “Yeah, we are going to be moms one day, but we don’t want to talk about how it’s going to work yet.”
